Yellim

Yellim is a member of Mellow Yellow. Yellim joined the team in 2018. They're best known for getting the silver alongside Yellah in Jousting.

Following Yelley's retirement in 2022, Yellim was promoted to a regular member of the team, with Yeller joining the team as the new reserve.

History[]

2018[]

During the off-season, Mellow Yellow recruited Yellim as reserve member as they trained for Marble League 2018. Despite getting 2nd in Marble League 2018 Friendly Round, their main tournament was a disaster as they only managed to salvage two top half finishes in the first ten events, placing dead last with 54 points, tied with Minty Maniacs. The next event was Ice Hockey, also Yellim's first event. The team advanced to the knockout stage by being the first in Group D but lost to Minty Maniacs, but the 9 points were enough for them to pass the Pinkies and moved to 15th. The team eventually finished the season in 15th.

2019[]

The team participated in the qualifiers for the first time and they barely qualified thanks to their 2nd-place-finish in Relay Race.

Mellow Yellow had one aim in Marble League 2019: to win back the respect of their fans after last year's poor performance. Unfortunately, Yellow placed 11th in Underwater Race. However, each event saw an improvement as the team moved up the standings. Yellow's win in 5 Meter Sprint a bronze in Block Pushing pushed them up to 4th in the standings. Followed by that was three mid-pack finishes and two bottom-three finishes, which dropped them to 7th. Then the team was able to place top 9 in the rest four events and the bronze in Collision jumped them to 4th and they finished 4th in this tournament.

2020[]

They entered into 2020 Marble League Qualifiers with a 4th place finish in Balancing. However, after a 17th in Funnel Endurance, the team fell down to 13th.But they manage to finish in the top 6 in the last two events, and managed to qualify in 5th. The team had high hopes, and were determined to keep up the good performances from last year.

Once they entered the main tournament however, their form has been appalling as they finished in the bottom three 5 times in 8 events, including Yellim's last-place-finish in Triathlon, sitting in dead last with only 29 points. Their from started getting better in the second half, but it was far too late. In Event 12, Mellow Yellow became the first team to mathematically eliminated from winning Marble League 2020, sitting in last with 51 points, 12 points apart from the Hornets. However, a bronze medal in the High Jump event, an 8th in Collision and a critical silver medal at Marble Marathon, pulled Mellow Yellow out of the "basement", finishing 14th.

2021[]

The team was placed in Group A in Marble League 2021 Qualifiers and managed to win both team events which guaranteed the team a qualifying spot with one event left and team eventually qualified in 2nd.

The team started with a bronze in Wave but quickly fell down the standings to 14th because of two back-to-back 16th-place-finishes. Yellim and Yellah's silver in Jousting brought them up to 9th but it was not before long that they fell to 11th again. The team then went on a podium streak, winning three consecutive medals and the team jumped into 1st in the standings with four events left. In Elimination Race, Team Momo and Mellow Yellow got eliminated in Round 1 and Round 2 respectively, which enabled Raspberry Racers to retake the lead in the standings. Disappointing finishes in the next two events dropped the team to 3rd in the standings, with 2 behind Hazers and 9 behind Raspberry Racers. Yellup's bronze in Marblocross was enough for the team to be the champion of Marble League 2021.

Trivia[]

Yellim was disqualified in Swing Wave in Marble League 2022 after falling off the track. Despite their disqualification, Mellow Yellow did not finish in last place as Team Galactic had a worse score, marking the first time a disqualification didn't lead to a last place finish.
