Whizzy is the current reserve member of the Savage Speeders. Along with fellow team member and teammate Swifty, they hail from the city of Vellis, the place where Le Tour De Vellis were held, also the place where they met their fellow teammates, Speedy, Rapidly and Velocity.
Before they became the reserve member in 2020, they were part of the main team. They first appeared in Marble League 2017, replacing Velocity. In 2020, Whizzy became the reserve member of the team, allowing Velocity to once again join the main team.
Whizzy themselves are a very decent athlete despite being the reserve, as they shone during the Marble League 2018, getting two individual silver medals and a total of 40 points, the second most of that time. Whizzy is also known for their inconsistency since Marble League 2019 as they continue to produce top 5 finishes and bottom pack finishes, which is one of the reason that they became the reserve.
History[]
Pre-Marble League[]
Whizzy and Swifty are friends who hail from Vellis, and met Speedy, Rapidly and Velocity in 2010 during Le Tour de Vellis, a marathon event held in Vellis and running throughout the country. Speedy and Rapidly had previously competed in local tournaments at Accellaise, so they had no hesitation forming a team with Velocity, Whizzy and Swifty when Velocity brought up the idea. The five trained vigorously over the next two years in order to qualify for the marathon. After successfully qualifying, they then made headlines by finishing in fifth, a feat unheard of for a rookie team. They continued to compete in the next three years, never finishing below the top five. In 2014, they won the Tour for the first time, and repeated that victory the next year. The public started to compare the team to the unstoppable force of early berserkers, describing them as "savage". The team liked it and decided to adopt that word for themselves, becoming the Savage Speeders.
2016[]
The Savage Speeders appeared in the 2016 Marble League as a four marble team. Whizzy did not compete, but watched from the sidelines as the team picked up four gold medals throughout the seasonThe team did not score in some of the events, but did just well enough with its four medals to secure victory in the first ever edition of the tournament.
2017[]
Whizzy replaced Velocity and participated in Marble League 2017 alongside the team, which had already auto-qualified because of getting 1st in Marble League 2016. Whizzy participated in Funnel Race and got a 4th, giving the team a decent start. But things turned downhills as they dropped to 11th after Fidget Spinner Collision. The Savag Speeders were able to turn things around with three consecutive podium finishes and the team jumped up to 1st in the standings. They placed 5th in Block Pushing, stretching the lead up to 22 points. Whizzy participated in the next event, High Jump. They managed to get 37.0 cm and placed 5th in this event. The Savage Speeders got gold in Steeplechase, stretching the lead up to 27 points with three events to go. The team's momentum stopped and were overtaken by O'rangers in the last event. The team finished 2nd this season.
2018[]
The Savage Speeders auto-qualified for Marble League 2018 because of getting 2nd in Marble League 2017. The team participated in Friendly Round and got last.
The team started strong as Swifty got a bronze in Ice Dash, but a couple of inconsistent finishes dropped them to 6th during halway of the competition. Whizzy was sent to participate in the following event, Snow Rally. Whizzy took the lead immediately in Race A, but was overtaken by Tangerin from O'rangers at the first turn, but Whizzy was able to take back the lead and stretched it. They held the lead for most of the race and never let it go, getting 1st in Race A and getting 16 sp. In Race B Whizzy started terribly but somehow finished 6th, getting 27 sp in two races, and lost to Momo from Team Momo in a tie-breaker, getting 2nd in this event.
The team jumped to 1st after this event, but bad showings in Curling and Biathlon slowed the team down as they dropped to 3rd, but a bronze in Ice Hockey was enough for them to elevate into 2nd place, just two points behind the leader, Oceanics. Whizzy participated in the final event, Sand Mogul Race. Whizzy started out last in the heats, bumping against the walls, but managed to stay off the walls after that, and was able to qualify for the semi-finals, so did Ocean from Oceanics, Wispy from Midnight Wisps, the two of which are also fighting to win the season for their team respectively. Whizzy went out to a huge lead in the semi-final but fell to second at the end of the race, but still managed to qualify for the final. The team have guaranteed to finish on the podium but they have a huge chance of winning the season as well. Wispy went out to a huge lead and Whizzy failed to catch up, ending this event and the season in 2nd place. The team scored 138 points this season, just one point behind Midnight Wisps.
Whizzy also participated in the 100 Meter Water Race. They got off to a good start but fell to the middle pack, but was able to gain speed and jumped to 2nd after 30 seconds of the race. They held the position for a short amount of time and got caught up on the walls which slowed them down, dropping to 8th, but they were able to gain speed and almost took the lead from Red Eye from Crazy Cat's Eyes. Whizzy slowed down and dropped to 5th, and fought for 4th place against Sublime from Limers and Foggy from Hazers. Whizzy continued to batttle and elevated to 3rd, they weren't able to hold the position and dropped to 6th in the end.Whizzy then participated in Amazing Maze Marble Race alongside the team. Whizzy shone in Group Stage by placing 3rd in Group D, which led to the team's qualification as they moved on as the second-best second-place teams. Whizzy then placed 9th in semi-finals but the team was able to move on to the final. Whizzy again placed 9th in the final and the team settled the tournament in 3rd.
2019[]
The Savage Speeders auto-qualified for Marble League 2019 because of getting 2nd in Marble League 2018. They participated in Friendly Round and Whizzy participated in Funnel Race. Whizzy held the lead in the first funnel but lost the lead immediately and went through three funnels in a row, dropping to last. But Whizzy stayed long enough in Funnel 5 and jumped back to 2nd, but dropped to 3rd in Funnel 6 and finished there. The team eventually finished last.
The team again got off to a good start by getting two consecutive gold medals. Then the team started to lose momentum and dropped all the way into 7th, including Whizzy's notorious last place finish in 5 Meter Sprint, the event which the team had podiumed in every time. A bronze in Hubelino Maze bounced them back into 4th. Whizzy then participated in Elimination Race and got 12th. The team eventually finished 5th this season.
2020[]
Whizzy swapped with Velocity before the season started probably because of their terrible finishes in Marble League 2019. However, they did managed to participate in Funnel Endurance in Marble League 2020 Qualifiers. They placed 4th in Heat B and placed 6th among 20 competitiors, elevating the team to 2nd in the standings. They continued to impress and the team qualified for Marble League 2020 in 1st place.
The team started slow and the team placed last in the leaderboard after two events, and Whizzy, who was already reserve, was sent to participate in Funnel Endurance. They placed 6th after the orange funnels in Heat A which is not a qualifying spot. But Whizzy made a move and rose up to 2nd in the sixth funnell, but bad moves in funnel 8 dropped them to 7th, with only two funnels to go. Whizzy was the first one to enter the final funnel, but managed to go the outside line as wide as they could, the move paid off as they qualified for the final in 2nd place. Whizzy managed to take the lead at the second funnel in the final, and kept it until the fifth funnel, where they dropped down two funnels in a row and dropped to 4th. Whizzy again pulled off an incredible move and took the lead once again. Whizzy lost the lead and fell to 5th in the eighth funnel and was the third to enter the final funnel . Whizzy went out wide enough in the last funnel and was able to get bronze in this event.
Thank to Whizzy's bronze and 4 consecutive top 8 finishes after that, the Savage Speeders were able to move into 8th. The next three events turned out to be even better for the team as they clinched three medals in all of the three events, jumping all the way from 8th to 2nd in the standings, just 10 points behind O'rangers. Whizzy was sent to participate in High Jump but failed miserably as they only managed to get past 35.5, placing last in this event. Their rival, Mandarin from O'rangers was 5 centimetres more than Whizzy's score. The record-breaking score handed them the win and a gap of 35 points in the standings with three events to go. Then the team manage to get 2nd in Team Aquathlon and Whizzy participated in Collision alongside the team. The team won every match and clinched the gold medal in this event, and O'rangers failed to one single match and placed last, Savage Speeders overtook O'rangers and held the lead in the final event, they managed to win this season.
2021[]
The Savage Speeders were invited to participate in the Marble League Winter Special and accepted. They got off to a decent start, with Swifty getting 5th in the Ice Dash, along with Whizzy getting 6th in Snowboard Cross. However, Velocity's 15th place in Speed Skating dropped them to 9th in the standings. A 6th place finish in Bobsled was not enough and they dropped to 10th in the standings, losing the chance to become champion in this tournament. Still, they ended the Winter Special on a high note by winning a silver medal in Ice Hockey, finishing the tournament in 7th overall.
