Steeplechase is an event featured in the Marble League. A team of marbles roll down a sand track as quickly as possible while jumping over hurdles. If the hurdles are knocked down the team receives penalty points.
Rules[]
In the Steeplechase, four marbles from each team must traverse a sand track with barriers they must jump over. The objective is to cross the finish line in the fastest possible time, without knocking any sticks on the barriers over. Teams receive 1 penalty per stick knocked over/DNF. A team's final result is the sum of their fastest three times (two in 2023), plus 1 second per penalty. The team with the lowest result wins.
