The Short Circuit is a Marbula One track located in Thorston. It hosted the sixth Grand Prix of Marbula One Season 1 (21 - 22 March 2020), and the ninth Grand Prix of Marbula One Season 3 (9 - 10 July 2022).

Marbula One[]

Season 1[]

This was a very fast racetrack with lots of straights and a handful of turns. Just because this track featured mainly straights didn't mean speed was the only thing that mattered here. This track also featured some difficult turns. The track began with two fast 90° turns, followed by a downwards ramp, where marbles gained a lot of speed for a chance to overtake. After the very long straight came a pair of hairpins, with a split before the second one. Then there was an S-shaped section which lead into a straight ending in a 90° turn. After that turn was the final stretch in the form of a long straight leading into the finish line.

Season 3[]

Season 1's Short Circuit Layout was mostly retained for Season 3. A speed boost was added midway through the straight before Turn 3, helices were added on the straight before Turn 8 (the final corner), a split was added in Turn 8, and the pit lane was removed for Season 3.

Trivia[]

  • The Season 3 Short Circuit layout holds the joint-record for the most special features in a single track, with 5. The record is shared with the Stardust Accelerator II.
    • These layouts hosted consecutive Grands Prix in Season 3.
  • The Short Circuit is the second Marbula One track to host multiple Grands Prix, whilst also retaining the same number of laps. The first was the Honeydome.
    • Both tracks have only hosted Grands Prix consisting of exactly 14 laps.
  • In both Grands Prix hosted at the Short Circuit, the Thunderbolts finished in the top 2 of the race (winning in Season 3), thus defying the phenomenon known as the Host's Curse.
  • Also in both Grands Prix hosted at the Short Circuit, Speedy started on the front row, but dropped exactly 1 position in the race.
