The Season 1 Momotorway Grand Prix was the third race of Marbula One Season 1, held on 29 February - 1 March 2020.

Qualifying

Summary

There was a change made to the qualifying session: The next marble will start rolling down a qualifying lap only after the previous marble finishes. This change will be implemented in all future Marbula One events, starting from this Grand Prix.

The first to go in this qualifying session was Rojo Uno of the Rojo Rollers. Despite their best efforts, they set a qualifying lap of 22.16s, far from enough to finish into the top half of the grid. Momo of Team Momo failed to replicate their dominance in the qualifying session of the first Grand Prix. Their qualifying lap was 22.79s: a disappointing result for the host team.

Clutter of the Balls of Chaos became the first marble to have broken through the 22-second mark in this qualifying session. With an incredible qualifying lap of 21.05s, they remained in the front row of the grid. This was not the case of Vespa of the Hornets, however. They performed poorly, setting a qualifying lap of 23.75s, eventually making them start from the very back of the grid.

Sublime of the Limers managed to make up for their poor performance at the first GP by setting a remarkable qualifying lap of 21.12s. Likewise, Prim of Team Primary dominated the qualifying session, besting Clutter's time by 00.04s. This put them in the pole position, beside Clutter in the front row. With this, Prim was ready to avenge their failure to make it onto the podium at the first GP.

Snowy of the Snowballs surprised the audience by performing very poorly in this session. In fact, they were the only other marble besides Vespa to have failed to break through the 23-second mark, and thus joining them in the back row of the grid. They wound up finishing only 00.13s ahead of Vespa. Hazy of the Hazers, who was the last to go in this session, managed to replicate the early success of their team in this racing tournament by performing exceptionally this time. They were tied with Sublime for the qualifying lap time. However, they had an advantage over Sublime at the individual points standings, and would thus start in P3, dropping Sublime to P4.

Trivia

• This was the first Grand Prix to have a Marble of the Day. It is a fan vote where viewers are given the chance to name the best marble in the race event of a Grand Prix.
• This was the first Grand Prix where the top three starters, including the polesitter, all finished on the podium.
• Clutter had two different abbreviations during the Qualifiers (CLR) and the race (CLU). They were listed as CLU for the rest of the season.
• Despite losing the lead to Prim and Mallard several times throughout the race, Clutter became the first race victor to lead at the end of every lap in a Grand Prix.
• This race holds the joint record for smallest margin of victory, with Clutter defeating Prim by a margin of +00.05s. The record is shared with the Season 1 Savage Speedway Grand Prix.
