Pollo Loco is a yellow marble with brown and green stripes who competes in the Marble Rally. They come from Pollota.[1]
History[]
2016[]
Pollo Loco was the first ever winner of an official race of the Sand Marble Rally. They competed in Sand Marble Rally 2016, podiuming three times and finishing in 8th overall.
2017[]
Pollo Loco competed in Sand Marble Rally 2017. They podiumed twice but could only manage an 11th place finish overall.
2018[]
Pollo Loco missed out on Sand Marble Rally 2018 after placing sixth in their qualifier, 0.15 seconds behind Nemo in fourth. This made them realize they needed to make some life changes so Pollo Loco decided to become a vegan. This led to them being more confident about their nutrition and more appreciative of the world, as well as allowing them to slim down and become more nimble.[1] After missing the main tournament they competed in the Sand Marble Rally 2018 B-League where they finished second tied with champion H2 Blue, only losing out due to having one fewer gold medals.
2019[]
Second place in the Sand Marble Rally 2018 B-League saw Pollo Loco automatically qualified for Marble Rally 2019, in which they finished in 7th place in the overall standings after recovering from two back-to-back DNF's in races 3 and 4. Out of the 6 races in which they did finish, Pollo Loco never finished below 9th place, marking a good season to establish themselves back in the top league. They made a very impressive move in Race 6 when they dived and overtook 10 marbles to take the lead.
2020-21[]
Pollo Loco was invited to compete in Marble Rally Season 5 after the cancellation of the Qualifiers.
Pollo Loco had consistency in the first half, placing in the top 10, except for Race 4 where they finished 14th after briefly running in the lead, then stopping. This streak included Race 6, where they made a great recovery after a mediocre start, finishing in 6th. Despite earning zero medals, Pollo Loco sat in 5th place halfway through the season. They earned another 6th place finish in Race 7, but they would disappoint in three of the next four races. The exception was Race 9, where they came 3rd place after running in 2nd for most of it. They ended the season well with a 5th place finish, settling for another 8th place result overall.
