Phoenix is a yellow goldish marble with some red on him who competes in Sand Marble Rallies. Phoenix debuted in the 2018 Sand Marble Rally Championship which he ended in second overall.
Sand Marble Rally careerEdit
As a newcomer into the sport, Phoenix had a great debut in Round 1, finishing in a very high 4th place (which is actually the second-highest race finish for an SMR debutant excluding the inaugural season).
In round 2, Phoenix's competence in the midfield was solidified with a modest 9th place, followed by an unfortunate 18th finish in Round 3.
In round 4, however, he made his mark. Starting strong, he fought ferociously over pole position against Blue Moon, attaining the lead for most of the first half. Blistering pace from Superball would remove Phoenix from the top spot, and he would have to settle for a 3rd place finish.
Although Round 5 would be a pain for Phoenix, he made his return to form in Round 6, his pace becoming more consistent as he grabbed another podium. While Round 7 was an alright performance, Round 8 put Phoenix on the radar with his first win of the competition. Taking 2nd in the championship, his position in the standings matched the record of highest championship finish by a rookie, which is also currently held by Red Number 3.
2nd place in 2018 meant that Phoenix automatically qualified for the 2019 A League. However, Phoenix had a dismal 2019 season, never being a threat to the front-runners anywhere. He had a mega sophomore slump finishing in 19th only ahead of H2 Blue, with a best finish of sixth place in the final race and overall collecting barely over one-third of his rookie season point tally. So just a year after getting hyped up as the next big thing in marble racing, he ended up being relegated to the B League where he would compete in 2020.
