Marble Rally Season 6 was the sixth season of the Marble Rally. It started on 3 February 2023, one and a half years after the end of the previous season. There were ten races.

Superball was the defending champion.

Changes in Season 6

The amended starting gate for 16 marbles

• Qualifiers returned after an absence from Season 5. The Showdown also made a return after being cancelled in the previous season.
• The number of competitors was reduced to 16 marbles in the main tournament, down from 20 in the previous season, while the number of competitors in the Showdown was correspondingly expanded to 16.
  • The starting grid layout was also changed from 10-10 to 8-8.
  • 2 races were held on each of the 5 tracks. A marble's starting position was balanced between each pair of races so that the position numbers summed to 17 (e.g. P4 and P13).

Practice Race

Before the main tournament, a practice event was held. The top 18 marbles from Season 5 applied, as well as Grasshopper and Silver Bolt.

Qualification

Main article: Marble Rally Season 6 - Qualifiers

For the qualifiers, the marbles were split into 4 races, each with 7 marbles. The top 3 finishers in each race qualified for the main tournament. The Qualifying Races were released on 29 January 2023.

Pre-qualified for the A-League:

• Top 4 marbles of Season 5 (Superball, Cool Moody, Slimer and Ghost Plasma) pre-qualified for the main tournament and were thus exempted from Qualifiying. They instead competed in the Friendly Race.

Trivia

• This is the first time Comet, Dragon's Egg and Summer Sky failed to qualify.
  • Additionally, this is the first time Black Knight and Quicksilver failed to qualify aside from not making it through Sand Marble Rally 2016's elimination.
  • Ghost Plasma and Slimer are now the only two competitors to have run every race since 2016, both of which having auto qualified this season and the next.
  • Ghost Plasma, Slimer, Red Number 3, Superball and Cool Moody are now the only five competitors not to miss any main tournaments since their debut.
  • With Dragon's Egg's failure to qualify, this also marks the first time a former Marble Rally champion and the competitor with most career points failed to qualify for a Marble Rally season.
  • Five competitors from the top 10 competitors with the most career points failed to qualify this season (Dragon's Egg, El Capitan, Summer Sky, Quicksilver and Black Knight), two of whom finished their qualification race in last (Dragon's Egg and Summer Sky).
• This season saw a decrease of 4 competitors in the A-league. If there were still 20 competitors, Black Knight, Blazing Fireball, Green Turtle and Quicksilver would have qualified as well.
• This season marks the first time since their debut that Red Number 3 was not be able to win the season or even podium going into the final race.
  • Red Number 3 placed last in this season with only 50 points, 3 DNFs and no medals, marking the worst performance ever by the former champion. This is the second time a former champion has finished in last, the first being Ghost Plasma.
