The Marble League 2023 Friendly Round was held on 13 October 2023. It was a competition between the hosts of Marble League 2023 and the top three teams of Marble League 2022. The Pinkies, Shining Swarm and Team Galactic already pre-qualified for Marble League 2023 as they came first, second and third respectively, and the Bumblebees pre-qualified by host announcement. The competition was held in order to give the auto-qualfied teams some practice before the main tournament.
Event 1: Honeycomb Team Pursuit[]
The first event of the Marble League 2023 Friendly Round was held on the 13th October 2023, featuring the first event, Honeycomb Team Pursuit.

In Honeycomb Team Pursuit, 4 teams of 4 marbles each race down identical tracks made out of Gravitrax pieces. A team's timer stops when 3 of their marbles finish the course. The team with the fastest time wins.

Event 2: 5 Meter Sprint[]
The second event of the Marble League 2023 Friendly Round was held on the 13th October 2023, featuring the second event, the 5 Meter Sprint.

In the 5 Meter Sprint, one marble from each of four teams rolls down a sloped 5 meter long track as quickly as they can. The winner is the marble to cross the line in the shortest time.

Event 3: Legion March Wave[]
The third event of the Marble League 2023 Friendly Round was held on the 13th October 2023, featuring the third event, the Legion March Wave.

In the Swing Wave, two teams of five marbles each roll down a wave-shaped track. There are 10 waves numbered from 1 to 10, with a red catch tray at the very end. Unlike the Hubelino Tournament variation, there is no 12-point strip, and there is a single lane in the track.
A marble scores points equivalent to the numbering of the wave it stops in, with the following exceptions:
- Falling into the red catch tray scores 0 points.
- Leaving the waves results in the individual marble being disqualified. This results in the marble scoring 0 points for the heat, but does not automatically drop the team's event points to 0.
- If a marble is stuck at the peak between 2 waves, they will score the amount equal to the greater amount. For instance, a marble stuck between troughs 4 & 5 will score 5 points.
A teams' score in the event is the sum of their total score across both of their runs. The team with the most points wins. Ties are broken by best single-run scores.
