In the 5 Meter Sprint one marble from each team roll down a sloped 5 meter long track as quickly as they can. The first two marbles to cross the finish line advance to the next round.
The event was originally scheduled to be uploaded on July 30th. However, due to JMR moving to a new studio, it was delayed by one day.
The Marble League Record was broken twice during this event. The first time, it was broken by Smoggy of the Hazers in Heat 3 with a time of 5.976 s, breaking the old record of 6.014 s. Sea of the Oceanics went on to break this record in Semifinal A, setting a time of 5.920.
The original record (6.014 s) was used since 2017 as the record of the 5 Meter Sprint. When it was broken, it was displayed as held by Yarble Yellers since 2015, despite there never being a Marble League in 2015 and the Yarble Yellers being a lore team.
Smoggy failed to progress to the finals despite setting a Marble League record as both Ocean and Velocity surpassed their time, becoming the first racer to set a new record but fail to move on to the next round.
With this 15th place finish, Mellow Yellow broke the record for the lowest point total after 10 events (41).
This was the first event of Marble League 2020 that Royal Stardust did not demonstrate. They could not do it because they were away at a fan photo session.
