The eighth event of Marble League 2017 was held on the 1st of August 2017. The event was the High Jump.

Event

The High Jump returns with some differences to Marble League 2016. Instead of an elimination type event, each team gets a chance to do their best jump. One marble from each team rolls down a steep track onto a ramp and then attempts to jump over a bar. If they clear the jump they move onto a higher bar. Each marble is given three attempts to clear the height. If they can't clear the height after three attempts, they are out. The marble that clears the highest jump gets the most points.

Trivia

• Cosmo of Team Galactic had almost cleared the 37.5 cm jump on their final attempt. However, despite getting the height, Cosmo landed on the bar and bounced back. They were unable to clear 38.0 cm.
• Cocoa of the Chocolatiers also landed on the bar in one of their attempts at 36.5 cm.
• Mimo, who replaced Momomomo, competed in their first individual event and managed to win the bronze medal from this event for Team Momo.
• Yellah of Mellow Yellow broke the previous high jump record of 37.5 cm by clearing 38.0 cm before failing three times at 38.5 cm. They also cleared every single height up to 38.0 cm with only one attempt. Yellah's performance in this event made Mellow Yellow jump 5 places into 3rd place in the overall standings.
