The third event of Marble League 2017 was held on 8th July 2017. The event was Fidget Spinner Collision.

This event is remembered for Momomomo's horrific injury, where Wispy and Momomomo collided very hard, causing a piece of Momomomo to break off. After this the Midnight Wisps paid a large portion of Momomomo's hospital bill to make amends with them.

Event

Fidget Spinner Collision is very similar to the Collision event from Marble League 2016, but with added fidget spinner obstacles. Similarly to last year, two teams of four marbles roll towards each other from the opposite ends of the arena. However, with the addition of fidget spinners in each corner, teams must deploy other strategies in order to win. The 16 teams are divided into 4 groups, where the best 2 teams will advance to the quarter finals.

During match 5 of this group, Momomomo of Team Momo collided with Wispy of the Midnight Wisps, and a chunk of Momomomo broke off. As a result of this injury, Team Momo pulled out of this event. Momomomo also withdrew from Marble League 2017 before entering any individual event and was replaced by Mimo. The suspended match was counted as a 1-0 win for the Midnight Wisps.

Trivia

• Momomomo was injured during the group stage match with the Midnight Wisps and as a result Team Momo had to withdraw from the event. All of their results in the Group Stage were declared void. Momomomo's injury meant that they wouldn't be able to compete for the remainder of Marble League 2017.
• The Limers dominated this event remaining undefeated until the final when they narrowly lost against the Shining Swarm.
  • The Limers were the only team in the event to finish their group with 3 wins.
• The team members of Shining Swarm rode on top of one of the fidget spinners to celebrate advancing past the quarterfinals. They then did it again after winning their semifinal match.
• A fan from the stands entered the arena right after the heats. The security removed them from the arena.
• Due to Momomomo's injury, the IMC decided to discontinue Fidget Spinner Collision and replace it with a similar event with higher safety standards.
  • This also resulted in the prohibition of fidget spinners being used in the Marble League.
