The ninth event of Marble League 2016 was held on the 23rd of August 2016. The event was Team Pursuit.

Event

In the Team Pursuit, 2 teams of 4 marbles each roll down an oval-shaped track in opposite directions. The track is symmetrical, and consists of 6 laps. The team that reaches the finish first wins the race and moves on to the next round. Team members cannot be separated by more than 4 inches, otherwise the team is disqualified. The time is based on the front marble of each team.

Note: Disqualifications are awarded 0 points. Any teams that were given consolation points were given two consolation points. In Event 2, the Snowballs were awarded 14 points, two for their 4th place finish and two consolation points. There are disagreements about numbers of points for disqualifications and consolation points and the Snowballs' Event 2 finish. This is one way of converting the ML16 results which was chosen after discussions between community members, there are other valid methods.
