The fifth event of Marble League 2016 was held on the 15th of August 2016. The event was the Long Jump.

Event

In the Long Jump event, marbles start from the top of a long ramp that allows them to build up speed for their jump before jumping into a pit of smaller marbles. The further the marble jumps, the higher in the rankings they finish.

Note: Disqualifications are awarded 0 points. Any teams that were given consolation points were given two consolation points. In Event 2, the Snowballs were awarded 14 points, two for their 4th place finish and two consolation points. There are disagreements about numbers of points for disqualifications and consolation points and the Snowballs' Event 2 finish. This is one way of converting the ML16 results which was chosen after discussions between community members, there are other valid methods.

Trivia

• The Marble League Record for Long Jump, which was 93.8 cm, was broken multiple times during the event. Firstly, Mo from Team Momo broke the record with a jump of 97.3 cm. Then it was broken by Bolta from the Thunderbolts with a jump of 97.6 cm. Finally, it was broken by Kinnowin of the O'rangers with a jump of 103.8 cm.
• After Bolta's silver medal in this event, the Thunderbolts became the first team to earn a medal of all three colors.
