The third event of Marble League 2016 was held on the 11th of August 2016. The event was Collision.
Event[]
Two teams of four marbles roll down ramps towards each other into an arena where they collide with each other. There are sidewalls around the arena which can be knocked down. If a marbles falls off the arena, the opposing team earns one point. The team with the most points wins. The event starts with heats before progressing to a knockout stage. If there is a tie during the knockout stage, the remaining marbles are released into the arena once more until there is a winner. If there is a tie with no marbles left in the arena, all the marbles are released again. In the group stages you earn three points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a loss.

Note: Disqualifications are awarded 0 points. Any teams that were given consolation points were given two consolation points. In Event 2, the Snowballs were awarded 14 points, two for their 4th place finish and two consolation points. There are disagreements about numbers of points for disqualifications and consolation points and the Snowballs' Event 2 finish. This is one way of converting the ML16 results which was chosen after discussions between community members, there are other valid methods.
