Four teams descend a twisty course with three handovers. One marble from each team rolls down part of the track as quickly as they can. They then crash into the next marble setting them off to complete their part of the race. The fourth marble in the team will complete the final part of the course. The first marble to cross the finish line advances to the final.
Due to a defect in the top track, all teams that raced on the top track were awarded an extra point. Note: Team Primary was mistakenly given a bonus point in the video despite not racing on the defective track.

Note: Disqualifications are awarded 0 points. Any teams that were given consolation points were given two consolation points. In Event 2, the Snowballs were awarded 14 points, two for their 4th place finish and two consolation points. There are disagreements about numbers of points for disqualifications and consolation points and the Snowballs' Event 2 finish. This is one way of converting the ML16 results which was chosen after discussions between community members, there are other valid methods.
The Savage Speeders set a new Marble League Record with a time of 22.94 seconds, beating the previous record of 22.97 seconds.
This marked the only time a team has dropped into negative points in the overall standings, with the Balls of Chaos sitting in last place with -3 points after this event.
