The eleventh event of Marble League 2016 was held on the 6th September 2016. The event was Quartet Diving.

Event[]

Each team descends down a short track before landing on four diving boards. The marbles dive off the board into a pool with a colored floor, each color representing different points. The team earns points based on the color of the tile when they first enter the water and for which tile they end up on. The points are:

  • Edges or Red - 1
  • Pink - 2
  • Orange - 3
  • Yellow - 4
  • Purple - 5
  • White - 6
  • Green - 7
  • Blue - 10

Each team also earns points based on the quality of the jump. The quality of jump points are between zero and one and are there to break any ties that may arise. The total of the quality of the jump and the entry and finishing positions gives each team their total score. Deductions are also awarded for clipping the edge of the pool, missing the pool or jumping out after a dive. If two or more marbles miss the pool, the team is disqualified.
