Ice Hockey and Football (also known as Soccer) are team events featured in the Marble League and is similar to Collision. Marbles roll onto the field and collide with each other and some balls. The team that gets the most balls into the other team's goal is the winner.

Rules[]

In Ice Hockey, two teams ride down a track and collide with each other on the rink, as well as a set of small metallic ball bearings referred to as "pucks". These pucks are placed on the rink: one on each neutral zone face-off spot, one on the center face-off spot, and two in the middle close to one side, right at the spot where both teams would first collide. The scoring is one point for each puck that enters the opposition's goal. If a marble rolls into the goal, it won't be counted as a goal. The reserve member of each team acts as the goalie, while the other marbles start on the tracks and race to the rink trying to score while blocking any goals scored against them. There are two periods in this event, rather than the conventional three.

In Football, each team descends down ramps onto a football pitch with small footballs resting atop it. The reserve member of each team acts as goalkeeper, and is placed atop a small magnet in front of their goal. The objective is to force as many balls into the opponent's goal as possible. Each match has two halves, with teams switching sides after halftime. After full time, the team with more goals wins the match and moves on to the next round - in the event of ties, extra time is played until the tie is broken. The event progresses in a 16-team bracket.
