The twelfth and final event in the Hubelino Tournament 2016 was held on 11th November 2017. The event was the Ball Battle.
Event[]
In this event, two marble teams roll down a short track before colliding with each other on an arena with no sides. A team scores 1 point for each marble they manage to keep in the arena. Situated in the center of the arena is a red ball. If a team knocks the ball off the arena at their opponents side, they will gain an extra point. There are also 2 ball bearings which can be released into the arena if a button at the top of the arena is hit.
In the group stage, 4 teams play all other teams in their group, in a round-robin format. They earn 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. The top 2 teams in each group advance to the semi-finals. If there is a tie in the final standings of a group, or if a match in the knockout stage is tied, a tiebreaker match is played.
In each match, the team who scores more points wins, with ties played if necessary. In a tiebreaker match, should scores remain a tie after the marbles stop, then the marbles that remained on the board are left on the board, and the marbles that were knocked off go down the ramp again. This process is repeated until there is a winner.
