El Capitan is a marble who competes in the Marble Rally. El Capitan competed in Sand Marble Rally 2016, 2017 and 2019. They missed out on the Sand Marble Rally 2018, but did compete in the B-League. El Capitan has won 4 races in their career and has finished 5th in all Marble Rallies they have participated in except 2018 where they finished in 6th in the Showdown.
History[]
Pre-Marble Rally[]
El Capitan is from the coastal city of Excelona in southwest Europe. They were featured on the news for their intense training routine involving racing alongside high-speed rail tracks connecting Excelona to other cities such as Isble, Accellaise and Vellis.[1]
2016[]
El Capitan started their career with a 6th in Race 1 and a 1st in the Race 2. They only DNFd once (Race 5), and got a podium in the final three races, including their second win. They finished 5th overall.
2017[]
El Capitan qualified for Sand Marble Rally 2017. They started 2017 with an 11th and a DNF, but after that only missed out on the top ten three times, one being a Race 6 DNF. They came fifth three times, got third in Race 5 and won Race 12 after a battle with Glassy and Slimer on the final straight. Thanks to this and double points, they were eligible for the championship, although was very unlikely to win it, and finished 10th in the race, which kept them in 5th overall.
2018[]
El Capitan surprisingly failed to qualify for Sand Marble Rally 2018, and competed in the B-League, in which they placed 6th with a 9th, a 4th, a 3rd and a 6th.
2019[]
El Capitan qualified for Marble Rally 2019, and scored in every race but Race 6. They were able to win Race 4 and come third in Race 7, narrowly missing out on second from Black Knight, and finished fifth overall.
2020[]
By placing 5th in 2019, El Capitan automatically qualified for the Marble Rally Season 5. When the Qualifiers were cancelled El Capitan was invited to take part.
El Captain placed middle of the pack in the entire first half except for a bronze medal in Race 5, they sat in 7th by the end of the first half and once again placed mostly mid-pack in the second half except for a silver medal in Race 7 and a DNF in Race 9 El Captain would finish in 10th the first time they finished outside of 5th in a marble rally season and also their worst finish in the series as well.

Trivia[]
- El Capitan made the podium in each of the final three races of the 2016 championship, setting a record for the most podium finishes in a row.
