Collision is an event featured in the Marble League. Two teams of five marbles face off against each other, aiming to knock the other team off of a slightly raised platform. The team with the most members left on the platform at the end wins.
Rules[]
2016[]
Two teams start on a slope aimed towards a large rectangular platform that they are located on either side of. Once released, each team must attempt to knock the members of the other team off of the platform, which has walls that can be knocked out if hit with enough force. Points are counted by the amount of marbles from the opposing team fall off (e.g. if two marbles from the opposing team fall off, the team would score two points).
Typically, there are four groups in which teams are sorted into, each containing four teams. The teams compete with the others in their group, facing off against each other team once. The top two teams in that group will advance to the quarterfinals, while the bottom two will be eliminated, sorted with the other eliminated teams by point differentials.
Once reaching the quarterfinals, the eight teams remaining are paired up with one of the other teams. The winner of the match proceeds to the semifinals. The semifinals are similar to the quarterfinals, as the final four teams are paired up with one another. The winner of each of the two matches proceeds to the final, whereas the loser of each match proceeds to the consolation match to get bronze.
The winner of the final match takes gold, the loser takes silver, and the winner of the consolation match takes bronze.
2017[]
For the Marble League 2017 version of the event, Fidget Spinner Collision, fidget spinners were added into each corner of the arena as an extra hazard for the marbles.
2019[]
During Marble League 2019, not much was changed other than the arena was made larger, and an additional feature was added. Six ball bearings now sit on top of ramps that are triggered when touched. Once released, the ball bearings can hit the athletes on the platform and cause them to fall off.
Showdown 2019[]
In Marble League Showdown 2019, the points system was changed to allow the audience and commentator to more easily figure out the score. Instead of points being counted by the amount of opposing marbles knocked off, points are now counted by how many marbles a team has remaining on the platform at the end of a round.
2020[]
The Collision event was changed slightly for Marble League 2020. Instead of ball bearings being released, large "planets" released from the ramps when triggered. Smaller red marbles, known as "electrons", could be catapulted at the teams once they were triggered as well.
Marble ManiaX[]
Marble ManiaX saw the return of fidget spinners to collision, as well as many obstacles including ball bearings and bouncy balls. The format also changed such that each match consisted of 2 halves, and the event did not have a group stage.

Fidget Spinner Collision's first and only appearance was during Marble League 2017. The event started off as normal, but quickly took a turn when Momomomo of Team Momo was heavily injured during their match with the Midnight Wisps. Team Momo could not continue in the event, and as a result of this injury had to bring in their reserve member, Mimo, to compete for the rest of the competition.
Later on, a fan from the stands broke out onto the platform and collided with the fidget spinners multiple times before security removed them from the course. Overall, Shining Swarm and the Limers dominated in the event, taking gold and silver respectively. Team Primary won over the Pinkies in the consolation round, earning bronze.

Marble League 2020[]
- Main article: Marble League 2020 Event 15: Collision
Collision was the fifteenth event during Marble League 2020. The event was changed slightly to fit the theme of Team Galactic, the hosts of Marble League 2020. Large marbles, referred to as "planets", could be triggered to release and smash into any of the athletes on the field. Marbles could also trigger smaller projectiles, known as "electrons", that could be catapulted into them in an attempt to knock them off.
The Savage Speeders claimed gold in the event, putting them five points ahead of the O'rangers just before the final event of the Marble League. The Thunderbolts took silver, ending their 27 event streak of not receiving a medal. Even though the Minty Maniacs earned a bronze medal, and sat in fourth overall after the event, they were unable to win Marble League 2020 after the event was over.
