Climbing is a duo event featured in the Marble League. One marble strikes another, firing their teammate up a track. The marble that goes the furthest is the winner.

In Climbing the athlete pairs compete to roll as far as possible after colliding. The first marble (striker) of the teams accelerates from the starting ramp and sends an impulse into the second marble (skipper), sending them as far up the slope they can. The team whose skipper travels the furthest up the ramp wins. Distance is calculated by taking the measurement at the center of the skipper at the apex of its movement. In the Newton's Cradle variant, instead of the striker colliding with the skipper, the striker collided with a Newton's Cradle, sending an impulse into the skipper, sending them up the track.
