History[]
Pre-Hubelino Tournament[]
The four members of the Bluefastics, Baloo, Dory, Gonzo and Mako, first met while working for the Non-Descript Entertainment Company in the city of Melbloue. Baloo was a design director, designing sets for movies; Dory was a stunt double, working with other stunt doubles Violet and Salvia; Gonzo was a screenwriter, working with others like Rambutan and Lantana; Mako was an actor, normally performing the lead role. The four worked on multiple films in their career. However, the first one where the four worked together was on 2015's The Foresters Awaken, a movie about the rivalry between the Foresters and the Flaming Cobras in The Bourne Network’s Marble Games.
The four continued to work together on films, making their own movie in 2016, Into the Big Blue, an action movie starring all four of the group. They then worked on a film detailing the history of the Knikkegen Marble League. The four friends starred as the winning team of the league that year, developing a love for marble racing in each member. The film was so well made, it caught the attention of Jelle Bakker, the host of the league. They were so impressed that they offered the four marbles the opportunity to compete in Hubelino Tournament 2016. Despite their lack of formal training, they accepted the offer.[1]
Hubelino Tournament 2016[]
Unfortunately, just before the team competed in Hubelino Tournament 2016, two of the members had to pull out due to a family tragedy. The team never revealed which members had to pull out. They decided to replace the two with Razzy and Rozzy of the recently disbanded Raspberry Racers, with the two taking on the pseudonyms of the original team members.
The Bluefastics did not have a good start to their competition. They started with a fifth in Funnel Spinning and a fourth in the Catwalk. This was followed by three consecutive bottom three finishes, dropping them to last place overall. The team's fortunes started to improve in the next event, Pursuit Slalom, where the Bluefastics won a gold. The team were stunned at their performance, having little sports experience. This was followed by a silver medal in Event 7, the Swing Wave. Another fourth in the Combination put the team in sixth overall at the original end of the tournament.
After the tournament's extension, the team scored two more mid-table finishes in the Halfpipe Dash and the Relay Course, taking them to fifth overall. The season went on a break so Jelle could host Marble League 2017. All of the Hubelino teams were invited to watch, and the Bluefastics decided to support their fellow blue team, the Oceanics. The team returned to the competition in the Block Push where they only managed seventh, dropping them down to seventh overall. A final fourth place in the Ball Battle could only bring the Bluefastics back to eighth at the end of the tournament, not the result they were hoping for but an understandable result due to their lack of experience.
All of the Hubelino teams were invited to take part in the Marble League 2018 Qualifiers. Razzy and Rozzy departed the team to reform the Raspberry Racers as the two Bluefastics members had returned from their break. The Bluefastics decided not to accept the invite as they did not feel ready to compete at such a high level with two members never having competed before. The Bluefastics returned to Melbloue to prepare for Hubelino Tournament 2018.[1]
Hubelino Tournament 2018[]
Competing together as a team for the first time, the Bluefastics had a much stronger start to Hubelino Tournament 2018, earning a bronze medal in the Swing Wave and a silver medal in the Catwalk, taking the team into third overall.
The team couldn't keep up this momentum with Mako finishing fifth in Event 3, the Hubelino Tournament 2018: Event 3 - Funnel Race, and Dory finishing fourth in the Halfpipes. However, the team then won their first gold medal of the tournament in Block Bumping, taking the team to second overall, showing the team's abilities in strength based events. Unfortunately, the team had a poorer end to the tournament, finishing in sixth in the Relay Race and the Maze before rounding out the tournament with a fourth in the Big Tower. The Bluefastics finished Hubelino Tournament 2018 in fourth overall, one point away from a podium finish. The team were fairly happy with their finish, an improvement on the previous tournament's performance.[1]
Post-Hubelino Tournament[]
The Bluefastics were looking forward to competing again when they heard the news that the Hubelino Tournament would not be returning. The team returned to Melbloue disappointed at the news. They returned to the film industry, working on several more hits including Captain Marble. They enjoyed the break from competing, enjoying being back in film, their original passion, but still looking out for a tournament to join.
The team traveled to Bermenghank for a vacation. A new tournament, the Marble Games, was starting up, and the team had been planning to shoot some footage of the tournament. Unfortunately, the tournament was lacking one team and couldn't start until the position was filled. The Bluefastics discussed this opportunity and decided to enter the tournament. The team had some strong finishes in events such as the Track Race and Block Pushing, ending the season in fourth overall. The Bluefastics enjoyed their time so much they eagerly looked forward to the second season. The team could not continue their strong finishes and finished 12th overall in the second season.
In the offseason between Season 2 and 3, the Bluefastics started to construct their own training grounds in Melbloue. During the construction, they met Stitch, a former Knikkegen Marble League athlete, who had appeared in their film about the competition. Stitch became interested in the team after seeing them perform in the Marble Games and offered to be their coach which they accepted.
Before the start of Season 3, the Bluefastics received an invite from the Minty Maniacs to the Herbotamia Reunion. Having heard that their old friends, the Valiant Violets, would be attending, the team accepted. They realized they needed a reserve for the competition so held open tryouts at their training ground. The advert received a lot of attention and the team chose Sulley, a local journalist and former track star, as their reserve member. The team competed in the Reunion but the results are unknown as all who attended signed an NDA about the tournament. The team did say that they had enjoyed the competition and were thankful to the Maniacs for hosting.
The Bluefactics returned to Bermenghank for Season 3 of the Marble Games. They unfortunately had their worst season so far, failing to qualify and finishing last in the Showdown. The team refused to comment on their performance and vowed to train harder than ever for the next competition. Sulley suggested taking a break to film a movie to clear their minds. The team returned to Melbloue to film a documentary, I'm Blue, focusing on environmental changes occurring across Marblearth. Rumors spread of an environmental protection fundraiser between the Bluefastics and the Jungle Jumpers, but nothing came of it.
Season 4 of the Marble Games saw the Bluefastics manage to qualify. However, it did not go much better than the previous season, with the team finishing in twelfth overall. Coach Stitch vowed that they would finish in the top five the next season.
Season 5 saw one of the best runs in the Bluefastics' career. After qualifying for the tournament, they started with a fifth place in Collision and the Track Race. This was followed by medals in Funnel Spinning, the Long Jump and the Snow Rally as well as top half five finises in other events, finishing in the top five in all of the events in the first half of the games. The second half went just as well with only one bottom half finish and more medals in the Timed Endurance and Obstacle Course. Their performance was good enough for the team to win Season 5 of the Marble Games.
The team decided to go on a victory tour to celebrate their success. Sulley organized for the first stop to be Belark, home of the Blueberry Bonanza. Their captain, Bonza, gave the team a private tour of the fields. The next stop was Rosaka where the team enjoyed multiple dance performances. Their final stop was the Agatia Woods where they met the Avocado Apes. They went on a woodland excursion and competed in a dirt race together.
The team returned to Bermenghank for Season 6, which they had autoqualified for. Their title defense did not go well, only managing to finish in 15th overall despite bronze medals in the Solo Tower Descent and Block Pushing. The team were disappointed with the result, hoping to return to glory the following season. They returned to Melbloue for the break to spend time with friends and family.[1]
