The 100 Meter Water Race was a practice race for Marble League 2019 and was held on 16th June 2018. 28 different marble teams took part, all hoping to qualify for Marble League 2019. However, Choc from the Chocolatiers did not take part.
Event[]
In this event, one marble from each team races down a 100-meter-long track filled with flowing water. The team that crosses the finish line first is the winner.
Mimo from Team Momo and Wespy from the Midnight Wisps started in first and second but got pushed aside by Sublime from the Limers. Wespy passed Mimo for second, but Sublime was still up in front. Immediately, Mimo got second again. Whizzy from the Savage Speeders moved up ahead of Mimo and Wespy and took second. Mimo slowed down on a corner and lost it out third place. But then, Wespy came to a halt and was enveloped by the mid-pack and at some point stopped and did not finish.
Skip from the Jungle Jumpers shot up into second after Whizzy got hung up on the wall. They briefly put a ton of pressure on leading Sublime. Pinky Winky from the Pinkies also got around Whizzy and put a lot of pressure on Skip. Then, after Skip got hung up on the wall, Pinky Winky stole second. Then, Pinky Winky went towards the middle and stole first from Sublime. Then, Pinky Winky lost it out to Red Eye from the Crazy Cat's Eyes and Whizzy.
Pinky Winky stole second back briefly and then lost it. Skip went to the far side and entered third. Then they stole second from Pinky Winky and then the two collided with Red Eye. Skip took the lead over Red Eye, Pinky Winky, and Sublime. Pinky Winky briefly took the lead before Red Eye took it, Whizzy taking second. Then, Whizzy was overtaken by Skip, Pinky Winky, and Sublime. Skip retook the lead as the top three collided. Whizzy took fourth from Sublime. Then in one move, they got around Whizzy and Pinky Winky plus Red Eye, who crashed out.
Skip had a huge lead ahead of Sublime. But it then started to shrink. Skip was slowing down, and then, Sublime took the lead entirely. Skip retook the first-place spot, and then Sublime got it again. Skip was way ahead of third place. Skip then slowed down a lot. Sublime had a huge lead. For a moment, Sublime slowed down a lot. Skip was gaining. Then, they re-received the lead. Sublime took the bottom side and retook it. Then Skip pulled up on Sublime's left side and took the lead and won the race. Glide from the Gliding Glaciers also took a surprise third over Astron from Team Galactic and Foggy from the Hazers.
